AutoScreenRecorder is an application which allows yo to make movies of your desktop, meaning that you can capture regions of your screen, windows or your fullscreen in AVI format with AutoScreenRecorder. You can hide or show the mouse pointer while recording. You can set hotkeys for start, pause, stop and cancel recording. As for video settings, you can select between four video compressors and customize settings where available.

Although I have access to all kinds of software, finding a proper one for my personal use becomes an annoying thing sometimes. That’s maybe because I tend to notice only the bad things from a software or maybe because I know that there should be a better one undiscovered yet. One of these examples, that really surprised me was Fraps. A tiny but very powerful software. With the help of Direct X and OpenGL technology, this software can capture in realtime any video source from your desktop, can save screenshots in BMP, PNG, JPG and TGA formats and can be used also as a benchmarking software.

WebcamMax is designed to add effects to any video capture source. It installs a virtual capture driver, so your programs should be configured to use it instead of your normal capture source. When you first start the program you’ll be asked if you want to set WebcamMax as your MSN Messenger and CamFrog default webcam. You should answer yes to both these dialogs, even if you don’t have these programs installed. WebcamMax is compatible with any program that supports defining a video capture source and supports webcam sharing in up to 16 programs at the same time.
