ViewletCam is a powerful tool for creating motion videos. It supports capturing video from your screen using either the DirectX API or Windows GDI (Graphics Device Interface). At the same time, the program can also record audio. Automatically adding the sounds when the mouse is clicked is supported, which makes it easy to create video tutorials containing voice instructions.

Before you can start recording, you must choose what to capture like a certain window, a specific area of the screen, or even the entire screen. Once you are satisfied with your choice, you can start recording by pressing CTRL+ALT+F11. Stopping the capture is done by pressing the same combination of keys. Pausing and resuming the screen capture is done by pressing CTRL+ALT+F12.

When you finished capturing, you can edit the video. The time line window can be used to forward and rewind. It also can be used to choose the moment when you want to add extra content to your movie. Inserting text, images, notes, buttons, or sounds in the time line is supported. As well as choosing how much time, a specific item should be displayed in your movie.

The program can export movies using Flash, AVI video, or GIF animation. Flash videos can be embedded directly in HTML pages. It features a tool for creating executable files out of Flash presentations, so the user is able to easily share their videos. The movies can include a loading screen, which is useful when you want to publish the files online.
