I liked the name of this software so I decided to try it out. I didn’t know what it was used for, when I installed it. I had to visit the publisher’s website to get a clear idea about how this piece of software should be used. 3D Virtual Figure Drawing Studio is a neat utility for artists wanting to draw the human body.

I am no artist, nor am I very familiar with art. However, I can tell you that the programmers did a great job on this program. The male human figure looks great. The program is designed to allow the artist to view the human details from any angle. You can put the character into multiple postures just by opening the VFDS files that come with the program. VFDS is the publisher’s format for saving animation information. On the bottom of the user interface, you have a slider that you can use to move the character from the beginning pose to the end pose of that VFDS file.

It’s possible to modify the character’s properties or other aspects of the environment. You can adjust the light source or the light color by clicking a light bulb displayed on the program’s user interface. It’s also possible to view a sketched outline of the character. This view is a good preview of how the result of your drawing is going to look like. In order to help you to evaluate better, how big each part of the body is the program can display a grid over the entire human form.

Besides normal viewing, you can display the male character using building blocks or you can view it as a simplified skeleton. A nice feature enables you to take pictures of the character anytime you want.
